Salutorget (baari)

Located on Pohjoisesplanadi, almost at the junction with Unioninkatu, Salutorget is primarly a restaurant. You enter straight into the dining room, but if you go 10m right, the lounge bar awaits you. The place itself is quite small (50m² max), with only 5 sofas and a few armchairs.
The bar deals all kind of boozes & cocktails, as well as some special treats like an "english afternoon tea" with all kind of small sandwiches (like the so british cucumber sandwich), pasties & sweet things. Alternately, you can opt for a real "cream tea" with scones, jam, and Devonshire cream (those who have been in the UK know what it's all about)
The atmosphere is incredibly warm & relaxing, especially when you know that outside is the taxing finnish winter with his sub-zero temperatures.
So, if you wanna chill in a cozy surrounding & drink some fine cocktails at reasonable prices, then Solutorget is for you. Not so if you're in for a binge drinking session.
Best enjoyed during the winter!
(we'll deal with the restaurant another time. looks ok but pricey - like most Hki restaurants.)

4 Martinis for 13€
