Grilling on Vappu...

... or May the 1st, is big in Finland. And when the sun comes out, it's the perfect occasion to go to  the garden, light the grill and put something on it. The something for us being 2 x 250gr pieces of Angus beef filet, cooked aprox. 2.10min. on each side, served with a béarnaise and some "pommes de terre boulangère" (baked potatoes with sliced onions, thyme or provencal herbs, salt, black pepper and olive oil. Seated in the sun with this meal in front of you, life is bearable. And you can say f*ck covid!




It's Vappu so, bring on the big gun: Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru "Les Paulands" 2018. Oh yeah...
