A bunch of weirdos

Graham Lineham, the creator of what is probably the greatest ever tv comedy show "Father Ted", did another tv serie every bit as wacky and crazy: "The IT Crowd" (IT standing for Information Technology).

In a company's building basement work 3 employees: Roy Trenneman, a lazy irishman who don't give a f... about pretty much eveything. Maurice Moss, a nerd completely out of touch with reality, and the department manager Jen, a woman who knows absolutely nothing about computers and  who's a pathological liar. Oh, and there's as well Rishmond Felicity Avenal, a goth living in the servers room and of which, no one knows exactly why he's there and what he's doing. And this lot is in charge of the company's tech maintenance...

In this episode, Jen plans a dinner party. Unfortunately, some of the male guests can't turn up at the dinner. So, Jen has no other choice but to invite her workmates to make the number, save the evening (and by ricochet her date), and entertain her lady friends. Problem is, this office trio is a bunch severe weirdos. Just freakin hilarious!

The big thickos from the island

Some of us have dependences, or even real adddictions: gambling, sex, booze...
in some cases rabbits.
Mine is Father Ted. And i don't wanna get rid of it!

Now, for those of you unaware of the wonderfully insane world of the irish catholic clergy, here's a short summary:
3 irish catholic priests have been exiled for various misdeeds on a small remote island - Craggy Island.
- the eponymous father Ted Crilly, a crook
- father Dougal McGuire, an idiot
- father Jack Hackett, a perv and a drunkard with a 4 words vocabulary:
drink, feck, arse, girls
... and mrs Doyle, their demented housekeeper with an obsession for tea and sandwiches.

In this episode "The Plague", the parochial house is suddenly infested by rabbits, just as the very rabbitphobic bishop Brennan plans a visit to deal with a naked sleepwalker father Jack. So, the priests must get rid of the of rodents in time, one way or another. Hopefully, Ted thinks that because father Jack gives off furry smell, he has some secret power over the animals. Like some kind of a rabbit god. And if he can keep him out of the way...
But the clock is ticking, and the dreaded bishop Brennan is on his way!

Cheating is no easy task

I'm not gonna bother you again with my usual tune "Father Ted" is the best tv comedy show ever. Better than anything, Better than sex... uuuh... maybe not than sex! No, i'm not gonna do that this time because in all honesty, IT IS.

Anyway...
Now, for those of you unaware of the wonderfully insane world of the irish catholic clergy, here's a short summary:

drink, feck, arse, girls
... and mrs Doyle, their demented housekeeper with an obsession for tea and sandwiches.

In this episode "Think fast father Ted", the parochial house has a leaky roof. The obvious solution is to repair it, but the priests are broke. So, in order to find some money, Ted decides to organize a raffle. But not any ordinary raffle, oh no. A rigged one! As Ted says: "... it wouldn't be cheating really. It would just be structuring the raffle in such a way that the return comes to the benefactor, rather than the beneficiaries." So here goes the raffle, with booze, broken car and dancing priest.

Ted, you big bollocks!

hmm hmm... *cough cough*... ahem... riiight *taking a deep breath*
"FatherTedisthebesteverfunniestcomedyshowonearth... ever"
ahem... la la la... sorry? no, i didn't say a thing!

anyway...

In this episode "Hell", Ted and Dougal have a problem: it's July 19th, and both can't remember why this day is so important. Would that be the day
the ice age ended? Or Galway liberated from indians?
Nope. It's nightmare - sorry, holiday time.

Ireland 1000 points

FATHER TED IS THE BEST EVER COMEDY SHOW EVER.
There. I've said it... again.

In this episode "A song for Europe", Ted and Dougal decide to enter the Eurovision song contest. But the road to the contest is not as rosy as it first looks. They'll have to create, sorry, plagiarize a obscur norvegian song, and overcome their arch nemesis, Father Dick Byrne, in the irish qualification round.
show time… Oh and by the way, this episode has the best Eurovision Song Contest ever... "My Lovely Horse".

"feckin' greeks, they invented gayness!"

by now, those of you kind enough to waste some time on this blog, know
my total addiction and devotion to "Father Ted", the greatest & best ever
tv comedy serie on the face of God's earth.
but for those among you unaware of the wonderfully insane world of the irish catholic clergy, here's a short summary:
3 irish catholic priests have been exiled for various misdeeds on a small remote island - Craggy Island.
- the eponymous father Ted Crilly, a crook
- father Dougal McGuire, an idiot
- father Jack Hackett, a perv and a drunkard with a 4 words vocabulary: drink, feck, arse, girls

in this episode "are you right there Father Ted?", following an unfortunate combination of circumstances, Ted is regarded by the chinese community as a racist and a fascist.
but as Ted says himself: "fascists dress in black and go around tell people what to do, whereas priests... uh... more drinks?"

drink, feck, arse, girls...

I've written somewhere in this blog about my absolute love, adoration and utter devotion for Father Ted, the best, funniest, wackiest, craziest TV comedy serie ever. EVER!
For those of you lost on this remote blog for the first (and probably last) time and unaware of the wonderful but severely insane world of the irish catholic clergy, here's a short summary:
3 weird irish catholic priests have been exiled for various misdeeds on a small remote parish island - Craggy Island.
In the episode below: "kicking Bishop Brennan up the arse", Ted, who was caught cheating during the annual "All priests over 75's indoor 5-a-side football" game, must do a forfeit.
And this forfeit is to... kick Bishop Brennan up the arse!
Freaking hilarious.

Ted, you dirty fecking liar!

Like most sane irish people I met along the years, I love Father Ted!!
For those of you still unaware of the wonderful but severely insane world of the irish catholic clergy, here's a short summary:
3 weird irish catholic priests have been exiled for various misdeeds on a small remote parish island - Craggy Island.
In this episode "And God created woman", Ted has been invited for a glamour evening drink by a famous novelist lady, but problem: at the same time, he's supposed to say mass for the nuns.
Wanting to avoid the chore of doing mass and being in severe horny mood, Ted has no choice but to do a big fat lie. The troubles is, Ted is not a very good liar...

No I'm fine

I am - i think - a reasonable and well balanced guy. Of course, like any other lambda citizen, i've a few obsessions in life. One, pathological, is Father Ted. Put simply, it is the best, funniest, wackiest, most extravagant, errrr... the best ever TV comedy show. EVER.
Basically, it's 3 irish catholic priests exiled for various misdeeds on a small remote parish island - Craggy Island.
- the eponymous father Ted Crilly, a crook
- father Dougal McGuire, an idiot
- father Jack Hackett, a perv and a drunkard with a 4 words vocabulary: drink, feck, arse, girls
... and Mrs Doyle, their insane housekeeper with an obsession for tea and sandwiches.
this amazing irish cult show runs a total of only 25 episodes because incredibly Dermot Morgan, 45 (Father Ted), died unexpectedly a day after filming the last episode. God probably lost patience there.

In the episode "Tentacles of Doom, 3 bishops arrive on Craggy island for official church business.
The problem for Ted is to make father Jack, in a perpetual state of drunkenness,  presentable for the bishops. So, he decides to train him with a crash course on elocution, and most importantly, what the Church is all about... Did I say best TV comedy serie ever?
